Ourselves

Ourselves, Ourselves, Ourselves
Into our deepest and listless thoughts we delve
Down farther and faster
Certain disaster

Floating in thoughts is a dangerous play
Down at the heart of mind we stay
Soon we feel a strong tug and we go up and out of ourselves
Out of the thoughts of the deep we UN-delves

Our head rise toward the light cloud
With our feet still planted on the ground
Imagination takes us away and away
It enhances our love to play

I start to think and come floating down
Free of turmoil and bad thoughts in town
What is in our deepest mind?
We know naught
We know now that imagination rises higher then deep thoughts

And that the core is pleasant, but frightful
And the sky of imagination is delightful
So we stay, planted in the ground,
But also above where imagination is found
