The world is a threatening place until
Faith makes the rounds
from one pair of lips to another,
strong as a belief
And bright as a star,
Life becomes a pathway:
Travelers fan out into the wilds,
and in the jungle of strangers,
faith is there
Thank you, faith,
for believing as I believe in you,
for rising up and settling down.
We know, faith,
that you don’t fill every space
you’re only a word
but where your presence
appears a burst of joy here,
