The Savior of Us All

He drank the bitter cup.
He surely knew the way.
That we could soon raise up.
To return to Him someday.

He bled through every pore,
Suffering every pain.
To show he loves us more.
To end our tears of rain.

He wore a crown of thorns.
Jesus, Christ the Lord!
While others went to mourn.
All in one accord.

The Lamb of God perished on the cross.
Jesus Christ. The King of Kings.
Oh what grief!
Oh what loss!
But a gift is what this ransom brings.

He died!
The Bread of Life!
And gave us true direction.
After His great strife.
The path is resurrection!

This great work was glorious!
Once more I do recall,
That Jesus was victorious!
The Savior of us all!
