Masterpiece In Progress

Do you ever sometimes feel like not enough in your body?

Like you take up too much space and too little all at the same time. Feeling sexy and confident but also overlooked and rejected. You’re still trying to find some balance.

It’s hard though, because in a world that is instaquick and tik tok filter approved balance is easily blinded by good lighting and trending hashtags.

You may find yourself in a rut.

Beginning to see yourself through distorted lens, you may start to question who you are when no one else is watching. So I dare you, no, I challenge you, to remove the falsely tinted lenses from behind your eyes.

Just long enough for you to see, that your body houses so many magnificent things like your smile.

It’s radiant enough to lighten even the darkest of rooms as your presence, alone can turn any grey cloud into a bright and sunny day.

Your heart beat, a soundtrack for the dancing feet beneath you. You may worry that you are not enough, but enough is the loudest truth that your tongue is fluent in.

So dance in the moonlight under star-kissed skies and cup the sweetness of life in the palms of your hands.

Let Spirit anchor your head to the depths of heaven as you bathe your body in your own light because you, yes you deserve to feel the eminence of your own Power too.

Do not let anyone tell you that you’re not destined for greatness because greatness lives in the very fabric of your existence and wonderful has been cemented into every growing cell in your body.

You have been through enough struggle. It is time you found your way to mountaintop. So piece together your stories.

Let them remind you that your imperfections make you whole. You are not broken. Say it with me, I am not broken. You are an earthquake.

Strong. Loud. Forceful. Scaring away those not strong enough to see the beauty in your breaking. They’re quaking.

Shaking every time you walk into a room because your love and confidence in yourself makes them question their own. But you, you have no more questions.

So even on days when your body feels more achy than beautiful, and you heart carries more sorrow than peace, remember that being graceful with yourself doesn’t cost nothing and that it is ok to sometimes be more work in progress than masterpiece.

But no matter what, never stop choosing love, because love is one thing that you deserve just for showing up and being you.

No filters, no hashtags, and no internet labels. So the next time that you feel not enough in your body pull three words from your pocket.

I AM ENOUGH, recalling that you are a masterpiece in progress and sometime it is the best work that takes the most time to complete.
