For what I Love

I met you when I was young

Became my best friend

Taught me how to display my emotions

How to handle it when my other friendships end.

As i started growing up

More people claimed you theirs

I never let that change us

Never let us become something to share.

I would dedicate pages for you

In return you adorned me in ribbons

You fueled my love for the world

And from there my love for you would thicken.

The times that i would put you aside

When life became too much

You somehow always found me

And let our creativity touch.

I will never truly see you

For you only exist in my heart

The love for you that I and other share

Is truly the work of you, Art.
