An old Polaroid of someone whom you once missed,
The scent that you once forgot about,
The dark, emotionless sky,
Grief.
Nostalgia,
A mental time capsule full of memories,
We dig and find these things,
Feels like a videotape that can’t be fast-forwarded or rewound,
Nostalgia.
Happiness,
Warm rays of sunlight shining down your back,
Feeling like a warm hug that you desperately needed,
That person who can make you smile regardless of how you're feeling,
Happiness.
Doubt,
Meeting a person and wondering if it was a mistake that you crossed paths,
Constantly thinking, worrying,
Was it a mistake or just a coincidence?
Doubt.
