A Shattered Heart

I stand afar and watch you move on with grace.
The warmth is gone and your words turned cold as stone.

The joy we shared is now lost without a trace.
But time stood still when I was with you alone.

Frustration looms, longed to be liked by you,
While dark clouds constantly filled my heart each night.

Your unwavering heart kept me subdued,
And the truth strikes during the morning light.

Envy surfaced as I watch you prosper,
While I remain shattered, lost, and in pain.

Each piece of advice was a wound harsher,
Holding onto the memories in vain.

No amount of effort will change your mind,
The foggy veil was lifted, which kept me blind!
