Coffee Shop

Don’t tell me you like coffee
I already know what you’re going to say
You’d say:
I’d like to order an affogato
And smile like you know something
Others don’t

Don’t tell me you like coffee
If you like coffee
We may have to study for hours
In a crowded shop
I might have to order tea
Because I can’t stomach a strong pour

In fact, if you like coffee
I might buy you a French press
And fresh beans
To settle your snobbishness

So don’t tell me you like coffee
Your drink isn’t special
Our time is wasted
The beans aren’t roasted
And you’re a piece of shit
