Hope on my Shoulder

I sit alone on the grass
Feeling the rain pour down on my face
Soaking wet, but I never leave my place
I sulk and wait for a better day
But I guess I’ll just keep being this way
When least expected I see hope
I get up and grab his hand
He shows me what life can be if I give it a chance
I open my doors
The rain stops its pour
I see the sun smiling behind the clouds
I turn on my music and put it loud
My smile begins to show
My happiness begins to grow
I’m happy once again
Just like hope had known I’d been
