Chubbs the dog
Snore like a beast
Impatient for every dinner feast

Googly eyes
Tongue hanging to the side
Aging day by day
Still loves a good ole’ car ride

Abandoned by a family
Rescued by another
Born with fur
But feels like a brother

Sometimes I think to myself
Why did we even rescue him
Today I came home
Chubbs was
Licking the trash can

I said
that dog
Is so disgusting
like a rat hit by a bat

Even though he is as ugly as a turd
He is the kindest, sweetest dog,
I’m assured

And I would never give him away.
