I'm Tired

I go to bed with hopes of dreaming
I drift off quick but wake up screaming
My nose is stuffed
My eyes are heavy
The days begun
But I’m not ready
I thought sleep was something to heal the soul
But all I feel is sick and cold
Because my medications not quite working
And all I can endure is constant stirring
My mind gets fuzzy and unorganized
Flashes of dreams tickle my eyes
But as soon as I sleep I wake up seconds later
And the taste in my mouth grows even stranger
The flavor of metallic red accompanies my hunger
I’ve gotten so sick and tired
