What Life Could Be

I wish life was a star
Like a sports car.
Now I face reality
And it is sad
And mad,
But that doesn't mean I don't want it to be glad.
I know the world was sad
And just plain confused,
But now they are mad
Not even sad
Like a chaotic mob at the mall.
At last we face the truth
You have to admit
They are mad because
It lasts so long
And they have to wear a mask.
