Changing Times

Everything changed in the middle of March. I’ve come to love my home. I know it oh, so well. There’s the comfy rocking chair where I read my books that take me to lands far away. But eventually I land back to the reality of the moment. The walls are still there staring back at me. At least there’s some paintings of the sea. now, that would be a pleasant place to be. Except they have closed all those destinations down. New words have been added to my vocabulary. A few of my favorite phrases being, “shelter in place, the new normal, these difficult times, and we’ll get through this together.” No, actually we’ll get through this apart. At last, the two new words I wish I’d never heard; “Covid Nineteen”
