Forbidden Love

Love can be a thing of forbiddance
That pierces the soul-
Sing a tune, without the words
Try as you might, he may never be yours

Love never stops with one
One stops with “the One”
Though knowing, he may never be received
Not knowing another may await him

Heartbroken is the man
And sore, from within his pain
Try as he might, all day & night
He could never flee from this

The man stands in the dark
Watching his loved one leave
His friends awaiting him
To comfort him from pain

He must murder his love
From his thoughts, then move on
To think of him is to think of pain
The love between him & his love
Will be forbidden love, for eternity
