In a world of change and compromise, It can be hard to adapt. Our boundaries may be closing in, And we may feel trapped. Building safeguards everywhere, Sheltering in place. Social distancing, Covering your face. The world seems a bigger place, But our homes seem so much smaller. Supplies and food are getting scarce, There’s a hard search for the elusive dollar. Six feet apart, that’s the rule, Banning the old handshake-Barriers are up, businesses closed, How much more can we take? Science will prevail, And find the vaccine that we need. Patience must be our middle name, So we’ll come out in the lead.
