Hard Choices

Just around the bend,
On past the emerald hilltop,
You find a forked road.

How does one choose right?
One road appears to be safe,
People sheltering at home.
Except freedoms sleep.

Looking opposite,
Onto a road of people,
Voicing all of their concerns,
Except safety sleeps.

Finding safe harbor,
Righting freedoms paused,
Everyone concerned with loss.
Each road has its own merits,
Destination both to Life.
On whatever road you choose,
May there be Joy, Hope, and Love.
