Nation of Destiny

“The sunlit path of faith
Leads us to the marvelous nation
Of our destiny, not the rough land
Of bitterness and brutality,”
They say.

“I was an exile in my own land.”
The mighty character, whose beacon
Finds the citizens of suffering, leads the people of exile
Into a magnificent land of
Hope, opportunity, dignity, and freedom.

“All the people, sisters and brothers,
black and white, Jews and Gentiles,
Protestants and Catholics, will be able to
Live with hope in this
Joyous land we say is America!”
