I still remember being so small,
Feeling so safe
inside our walls.
Not just a house
but a home you made
And us three kids
to fill your days.
We never saw the stresses life gave.
Or the laundry or dishes or bills to be payed.
Instead we saw love so pure and true.
A love brought together from God through you.
Mom and Dad, your love was clear.
And you always made sure God was near.
Your faith instilled
in each of us.
Along with love
and hope
and trust.
Now each of us all grown,
making our own houses a home.
We understand all you’ve done,
And we appreciate
every single one.
We love you Mom and Dad.
No matter how much we’ve grown.
Thank you for always making your house our home.
