Home Away from Home

Home Away from Home
Dunes of sand expanded everywhere.
Spreading everywhere except
Where the ocean dropped off.
The waves slammed against the shore.
THe currents were tall mountains,
Daring anyone to stand in it's path.
Smashing into anyone brave or stupid enough
To do so.

The waves were loud and deafening.
Crashing like thunder.
Yet something was almost as loud.
Yells as loud as battle cries.
Cheering, crying, screaming, jeering.
Never outmatching the thundering waves.
