Today I watched her face change with the sun’s shadows
This is what Henry David Thoreau was talking about
Take more time off said the wise
If only they could shout

I only took 6 weeks off
The cycle of work, work, work and more work
Took 6 weeks of healing
Out of the 13 I would need, to just stop the bleed
And of the 20 I would need, to bring back the perk

Now forced to stay inside, I sit here by her side
The cliches that parents say, now travel from my lips
So glad to have this second chance, it’s just like they implied
A seldom form of happiness, in a world of new flipped scripts
