Epidemic: Procrastination

Oh, that powerful force,
 The one that plagues
All mankind.

Forever present,
 Always known,
Endlessly practiced,
Never defended against.

But perhaps that’s the point,
The idea driving this disease.
In order to blind
The goals of humanity.

Until that drop drips down,
Ultimately fighting.
 That last ring,
The ever familiar bell soon goes.

The rush, the adrenaline,
The ever growing fear.
The fear that ever torments
Till it’s defeated by a single arrangement.

“Until the next time!,”
The virus always says
 With an ever playful grin.

Oh, that powerful force,
The one that plagues
All mankind
