Corona

I can’t go to the library.
Still I would like to read for free.

Older than 13 is my range.
Not holding a book in my hand is strange.

My mind says “ NO “ to technology.
My friends do agree.

My heart says “YES” to reading.
My mind wants that kind of feeding.

Stubborn is my middle name.
Resistance could be the same.

Then comes Corona.
And we all feel like a loner.

What to do all day long?
Except for staying mentally strong.

Stubborn went to say good-bye.
Resistance said “Even with me you can’t fly.”

I can’t go to the library.
Still I would like to read for free.

Stores are shut.
So are places to get a cut.

Stubborn is down.
Resistance has a frown.

I download an app.
In a snap!

I download a book.
And the earth not shook.

Corona made me do something new.
I didn’t even have to put on a shoe.

Books are back with me.
And I feel  so much more free.
