The Signs That Tell Lies

Money can buy you many things,
Like toys, clothes, a car, and a kitchen.
Unlike the rest, everlasting joy cannot be bought,
For joy comes from experience, something within.

Many say that money makes the world go round,
But how could it possibly,
If it weighs less than a pound?

These same people use money to buy happiness,
Thinking, that it will last.
A shame it is however,
For all of irony’s sake, it goes by fast!

Yes, money may be able to buy love,
But not the love that’s true.
Sad and lonely will be you,
Once it’s all gone, you’ll be left blue.

Money to me is the root of all things evil.
It causes us pain.
We make regretful actions for the “joy” of money,
But alas, it only leaves us, a stain.

Money can buy you many things,
Like toys, clothes, a car, and a kitchen.
And unlike the rest, everlasting joy cannot be bought,
For joy comes from experience, something within.
