Ode to a life

Oh life!
So beautiful, tender, and
Given in seconds,
taken away in the
same way.

In the beginning,
a dark womb.
In the end,
a dark tomb.

To Whom the bell tolls?
You; who pushes with grand force
In the middle of the room.
You; the subject of hard labor.
You; an innocent child,
free spirited, joyous and

Mother dearest!
So beautiful, tender and
Your eyes which produced
Tears. Were they from joy?
Or in fear?
Nonetheless, they appeared.
And now,
I’m here…
