Without End or Beginning

The sun it lights the day anew,
changing shadows black to blue.
A cry sounds forth from early life
to speak these words: "pain is rife".

From whence comes the sun, the cry?
A whisper, "in truth the answer doth lie".
Night begat day and spirit begat birth,
sun and soul, the truth unearth.

The light it fades, the night comes forth;
eventide marks another birth.
A body dies, the soul lives on;
pain of death brings another dawn.

Eternity- day and night,
birth and death, no end in sight.
The sun lives on, as too the soul,
their glory ever to behold.
