Faded Smile

Watching the faded rain drops roll off the windowsill.
I can feel the chill as it rolls down my spine.
It never can seem to go away,
and it still reminds me that every day might even end that way.
I try to smile...hide the pain away.
Sitting under my favorite tree,
all the world can see me.
Chained to my roots, who I am supposed to be,
what am I to do?
I stumble into darkness,
and all I see is silence.
Never to touch, but to tear me apart,
I know I can fix this broken heart.
