I Once Had a Dad

I once had a dad
Who was great and made me glad
Who loved his family
My mom said he was very manly
I once had a dad who yelled and lied
When he did this things were never alright
He used to lie to my mommy
And to his family
I once had a dad that said he cared
But he had dark secrets that he never shared
It was sad that my dad acted this way
Some days he moved away
He moved far far away and never stayed
Then he met this girl Tammy
And she looked trampy
Ever since he met her he’s been interested in drugs
I once had a dad that said he missed me
And one day asked me how old I was going to be
I once had a dad who gave me knives
Then I realized when he left with Tammy and her kids
That I once had a dad in my life
